Fashion Coveners: The Coalition Transforming Fashion

Sustainability has made great headway during the coronavirus pandemic, with brands and shoppers reassessing priorities. Now, the newly launched Fashion Conveners are uniting to accelerate the sustainable transformation of the fashion industry.

About The Coalition

The Fashion Conveners are an NGO coalition that includes the Apparel Impact Institute (AII), Fashion for Good (FFG), Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), and others. 
Together, they are focused on pooling their collective talents and resources to, in their words, “catalyze action with companies, brands and strategic partners, support each other’s policy efforts, and accelerate the industry’s adoption of more sustainable and ultimately regenerative | Learn more on Commonshare | practices.”
Fashion accounts for nearly 3% of global GDP. The Fashion Conveners want to use that power for good to help secure natural resources, and to prioritize the safety, health, and prosperity of the industry’s workforce and communities.

Other aspects of retail have already evolved in response to shoppers’ changing habits and trends. The Fashion Conveners are trying to bring the fashion industry along, with an eye toward long-term success.
