Global Polyester Staple Fiber Market is Thriving and Going Green

As consumer demand for corporate accountability and environmental stewardship increases not only in the West but more and more in other parts of the world, manufacturers are responding.
On the surface, this would seem to be very bad news for polyester.
After all, manufacturers are shifting from non-biodegradable, petroleum-based, synthetic fibers – polyester being case in point – to biodegradable and renewable fibers made from such materials as polylactic acid and lyocell.
However, this does not mean no polyester. There are environmentally responsible ways to make use of polyester: as a case in point, polyester can be recycled, and it is this that is driving so much of the growth in polyester.
This is also the big reason that this growth can be seen as a fundamental win for sustainability and the green manufacturing economy.
The recycled polyester staple fiber in question is a synthetic fiber that is produced by recycling PET/Polyester | https://www.marketwatch.com/press-release/recycled-polyester-staple-fiber-market-2019-global-industry-overview-by-size-share-future-growth-development-revenue-top-key-players-analysis-and-growth-factors-up-to-2024-2019-09-03 | that has been left over in manufacturing, or else in the form of reclaimed, post-consumer waste.
There is a lot of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic wasted in the form of discarded bottles. All of those used and discarded water, soda, and juice bottles need not go to waste: they can be turned into a new material, recycled polyester staple fiber.
This material has a wide range of applications. It makes excellent non-woven carpets, wadding, has applications in filtration industries, and can be used to stuff pillows, cushions, children’s toys, and quilts…
