The 18,000 farms that grow and process cotton in the United States have increasingly incorporated sustainable practices with outstanding results: efficiency in the use of water has improved by 82% in the last 35 years, the emission of greenhouse gases has been reduced by 30%, and energy consumption has been reduced by 38%.
Added to this, two-thirds of the country's cotton land uses only rainwater.
